Reginald Baldwin Rimmer

 

Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Electronics Technician, 3434-H, RCN

 

Born: 08 Apr 1920          Died: 30 Jun 2007

 

Served in the Second World War and Korean War.  Retired from the Navy Oct 1964

 

Reginald's father, William Rimmer, served in the RCA during both the First and Second World Wars, attaining the rank of RSM.

 

Reginald's brother, Flight Sergeant Clarence Flint Rimmer went missing during overseas flight operations on 10 Apr 1943 and was reported as missing, presumed dead 11 Apr 1943.  Flight Sergeant Rimmer was posted to No. 100 Squadron RAF 13 Mar 1943.  His squadron was on a night-time bombing mission targeting the German city of Essen at the time of his death. Reginald's brothers David E. Rimmer and John B. (Zip) Rimmer both served in the RCN.
