SILVER, Normand Nathan - 91, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, after a long battle with heart disease. Mr. Silver is survived by four children: Daniel, Denise, Claude, Linda and his beloved companion, Therese Gingras. He leaves behind four grandchildren: Mark, Julie, Amelie and Simon. Normand was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy. In recognition for his services, he was awarded the Queen's Jubilee Medal. He was also presented an award for his devotional volunteer work at the Navy League, White Ensign Club and St. Anne's Veteran Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., starting at 10 a.m. the following day at the Alfred Dallaire MEMORIA Funeral Home (2159, Boul. St.-Martin East, Laval, QC). Mass will be held on Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral parlour. Burial to follow at 1 p.m., at the Field of Honour Cemetery, 703 Donegani Avenue, Pointe-Claire, QC, H9R 5G6. (The Montreal Gazette 22 Jul 2014)
