FRASER, James (Jim) - Mr. Jim Fraser passed away peacefully on August 16, 2003 at Dawson Court at the age of 78.
Born and raised in Emo, Ontario, Jim joined the navy in 1941and served overseas until 1946.
Jim lived in various towns in Northwestern Ontario before moving to Thunder Bay.
He worked as a cook with various bush camps before retiring from Great Lakes Forest Products in 1989.
Jim loved reading, hunting, fishing, carpentry and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Jim is survived by wife Penny, sons Donald, Joe (Thea), Patrick (Christine), and Jamie (Tina), daughters Shelia (Greg), Susan (Glenn), Heather (Rob), and Erin (Rhandey), 19 grandchildren as well as many other relatives.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Donald and Ada, son Jack, brother Ross and sister Janet.
A funeral service for Mr. Fraser will be held on Wednesday, August20th, 2003 at 2:00p.m. in the chapel of the Jenkens Funeral Home 226 S. Syndicate Ave. with Rev. John Schmidt officiating.
Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens to follow. If friends so desire, donations to The Lung Association would be greatly appreciated." (The Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal 18 Aug 2003)
