LAWRENCE, Kenneth Roswell - Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, on Tuesday evening, November 4th, 2008. Kenneth Roswell Lawrence at the age of 77 years. Dearly beloved husband of Reta Elizabeth Lawrence (nee Smith), of Owen Sound and formerly of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Loving father of Linda Lawrence, of Toronto, Cynthia Lawrence, of Edmonton and David Lawrence, of Fort McMurray. Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Amanda (Padraig), Christine (Matthew), Steven and Bryan (Ami) and great- grandfather of Makenzie and Makayla. Dear brother of Howard Lawrence and his wife, Margaret, of Meaford and Marion MacGregor and her husband, Warren, of Brantford and brother-in-law of Mary Lawrence, of Brampton. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Lois Lawrence and his brother, Edward Lawrence. Kenneth was raised in Brantford, Ontario and at the age of 18, he left to join the Navy where he served for 20 years. During this time he met the love of his life and was married to Reta Elizabeth Smith in September, 1955. Kenneth was a quiet and gentle man who loved spending time with his family, wood working, gardening and making you laugh with stories about his youth and days in the Navy. Kenneth and Reta spent time travelling to the Valley, Ontario and Maine where they shared many happy memories. A Memorial Service for Kenneth Lawrence will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1331 - 4th Avenue West, Owen Sound, on Friday, November 7th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Claire Miller officiating. Interment at a later date in Lower Sackfield Cemetery, Nova Scotia.
