SANFORD, Claude Milton - Born in Portage La Prairie, MB on December 9, 1926. Died October 8, 2016 in New Westminister, BC, Claude was a Navy Veteran. In 1969 he moved to BC. He married his second wife Joanne in 1985. Claude worked for the Post Office for 23 years retiring in December 1992. He and Joanne moved to Norfolk Island, Australia where they lived happily for about 8 years. They returned to BC where he lived till his passing. Claude is survived by his wife Joanne, daughters Susan Brennan and Jacquie Layfield (Doug), stepsons Darren and Scott Buffet, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents John and Fannie Sanford and stepdaughter Cheryl Buffet. Burial will take place at a later date. Rest in Peace, Dad. (The Owen Sound Sun Times 17 Nov 2016)
