THOMAS, Robert Charles - 77, Bridgetown, passed away December 17, 2009, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, Born in Leamington, Ont., he was a son of the late R. Grant and Martha (Tacq) Thomas. Bob was a 20 year beteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and did two tours of duty in Korea. He served on board HMCS Athabaskan and HMCS Saskatchewan. He later worked for the Annapolis District School Board as the maintenance supervisor for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Anne Everett; son, John Robert Thomas Brown (Jacqueline), Cobble Hill, B.C.; Christopher Grant Thomas, Halifax; granddaughters, Jasmin, Zoe and Lilli; half-sisters, Nancy Jean (Gary) Langs, Kingston, ONt., Kathleen (Jim) Shaw, Milton, Ont. He was predeceased by sisters, Barbara Ann Evans and Betty Lavoie. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. A Graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Robert's memory may be sent to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 33, Bridgetown Mountain Lea Lodge, or to a charity of one's choice.
